Weekend Adventures: The Mayton Inn

This past weekend was my 22nd birthday and Tyler and I’s anniversary so we decided to treat ourselves! The Mayton Inn was recommended to me by a co-worker and the cherry on top for the weekend. Although, The Mayton Inn was only twenty minutes away from our apartment in Raleigh, It was nice to take some well-deserved R&R for the night.

The Mayton Inn is located on Academy Street in Cary. Academy St. may be under construction but we barely even noticed during our trip. We even checked out a few quaint shops around the corner.  And while we didn’t want to leave our bed (it was like sleeping on a cloud), Cary Towne Center is close too!

I absolutely LOVED the style of the inn! It was adorable and fit for a princess. The walls were bright colors ranging from light blue, purple, yellow, etc. Perfect backdrops for your OOTD instas 😉
After dinner on Saturday, we came back to turn-down service and chocolates on our nightstand. I ended up eating both mine and Tyler’s. Oops! We decided to check out The Mayton’s bar and loved it! The bartenders were great: quick service, yummy drinks, and friendly smiles. I ordered a Hemingway’s Daiquiri and Tyler was happy with the beer. Crawling back into bed was heavenly. We had the most comfortable sleep of our lives Saturday night. They even have a built-in sound maker in the rooms to help you drift off!

Another thing I loved about our room was that a little tablet on our room’s desk controlled everything for us. It had the restaurant’s menus, you could schedule spa appointments on it, see places around town, and even an alarm. We ended up sleeping in on Sunday but didn’t mind waking up when there were hot showers and personal robes waiting.

The thing I was most excited for was complimentary breakfast!! They didn’t disappoint! Tyler ordered scrambled eggs and coffee while I got the Belgian waffles. The dining room is gorgeous with silver chairs and natural lighting. One again, service was phenomenal.

The Mayton Inn was definitely worth the splurge. Next time, I’ll be sure to get a room with a standing tub and check out the spa. Not pictured: a beautiful library and porch you can lounge around and enjoy. Our visit was absolutely wonderful! Now I’m just left wondering, what in the world were those perfect sheets made out of?!
What hotel do you really want to spend a night in?
Have you ever been to The Mayton Inn?
